Hey Bunnies, I have been getting a lot of compliments on my skin lately.
Bless your souls
you guys are the sweetest, Love you.
My Skin is far from perfect but I definitely take much care to take care of it and it has come a lonnnnnggg way from my teenage years.. trust me...
Simple tricks to clearer healthy skin I tell people who ask are:
- Wash twice daily (morning and night) clean skin is happy skin
- Watch what you eat and how it effects your skin, does that coffee give you flare ups?? how about that sugary 'insert dessert here'?? Figure out what triggers your skin outbreaks and cut back on those things... plus try to avoid processed foods while we are at it.. eat REAL food and your skin will thank you
- Drink LOTS OF WATER.. water is soo important for the function and health of your body and skin... it helps flush out toxins (things that can be polluting your body and causing inflammation and irritation on your skin..etc) as well as a billion other health benefits but that's a whole other topic.. moral: Water gooooooodddd
- Never sleep with makeup on.. this goes with washing your face morning and night.. I am guilty of going to bed without washing my face because I am just too tired after brushing my teeth and want to pass out.. but every time I do this I pay in pimples! SO STOP. lol.
Frequently wash your make-up brushes I know I know... i've seen that Kim Kardashian Meme it's a pain for some.. I however love it! I find it so satisfying and just makes me feel all around better knowing I am washing off all of that harbored bacteria and gunk, and starting with a clean slate. I've posted about my make-up brush cleaning ritual on instagram but I will mention it again here.. I use Mineral Fusion Brush Cleaner, it's a spray and it smells really nice, I sprits it on my dry brushes (those I use for powders, shadows, blushes..etc) and I dab each on a rag until until the splotches are clear.. For my wet brushes I swear by Dr. Bronner's castile soap... I use it in bar form but others I have seen use the liquid stuff, anyway I wet the brush and then kinda paint it on the soap to get a nice lather then I use my thumb in a circular motion to move the lather throughout the brush and run it under warm water, I repeat this until the brush gets it's normal color back and the water running from it is clear then I lay them to dry. VOILA.
and finally... Don't Pick Your Skin leave it alone.. that zit will go away, eventually but if you pick it it will leave a scar that won't go away.. so leave it alone.. picking also spreads bacteria so unless you want that one zit to mate and have zit babies all over your beautiful face then just leave it alone.
Ok so now for the Reason of the post.. My skin care regime lately.. all the products I use are Pacifica and I am in love with every single one of them..
Step one: I wash my face with Pacifica Sea Foam Face wash, this stuff seriously feels like a dream on my skin and the smell is sooo sweet and nice, not overwhelming, this stuff seriously foams up too which is fun, I like to pretend I am a mermaid literally using the foam from the sea to wash my beautiful, flawless (JK) mermaid face.. (If I am pretending it can be flawless right??) anyway this stuff is AMAZINGGGGG.. You can get it at Ulta, Target, Whole Foods, various natural food stores and online of course at www.pacificabeauty.com (these other products you can get at the above aforementioned as well)
Step Two: I exfoliate and smooth with Enzymatic exfoliating wipes.. as stated on Pacifica's website:
Peach and apricot infused natural wipes help remove dead cells and brighten the look of the skin. Great to use after you remove makeup and as a final treatment prior to moisturizer
Step one removed the makeup, so step two exfoliates and dare I say polishes your face leaving it smooth and subtle for step 3... I love the way these things smell, when I use them in my morning wash I keep the one I used on guard and wash my brushes off on it in between different colors etc.. during my makeup routine..
Step Three: I use Pacifica's Skincarma restorative roll-on facial oil to moisturize and nourish my skin...
A blend of natural, rich, beneficial oils and antioxidants including Tahitian tamanu and tiare flower to soothe, hydrate and nourish even the driest, most stressed skin.
This stuff feels so good when I roll it on, my skin drinks it up, it doesn't feel too greasy but it does take a moment or 2 to absorb.. however when it does your skin doesn't feel heavy or weighted down, it feels beautiful and it can breathe.. it's the perfect final step in the skin care before I move on to my Primer and then of course my makeup..
speaking of PRIMER
I cannot say enough about the Jasmine Iris Oil control Primer:
This stuff is amazing! This is one of my newer purchases, I found it at whole foods, I have been really keen on the rose gold skin brightening primer serum for awhile but when I heard there was one that controlled oil I had to jump on that..
My skin is combination so sometimes my skin is dry and sometimes it is oily.. Pacifica products are so hydrating and nourishing without being greasy or any of that so that's why I use them but I still end up getting oily towards the middle of the day and the makeup that once looked so hot doesn't anymore.. BUT now I found a holy grail primer. It controls shine, feels great on the skin and keeps my makeup looking fab. Love this little beauty. Xoxo
